Purple Reef holding a clean-up day at the Coast of Sour

BEIRUT | iloubnan.info - May 15, 2010
Purple Reef community will be holding a beach and underwater clean-up day on Sunday May 16th throughout the coast of Sour, South of Lebanon.

As part of the annual and national clean-up day "Operation Big Blue" (OBB) actions will be held all along the coast. Purple Reef will collaborate with OBB and take action in the clean-up efforts planned for the beautiful beaches and underwater sites of Sour.

The Purple Reef team will head to Sour on Saturday May 15, 10:30 am, for a fun dive (advanced divers only) and a general briefing about Sunday's clean-up plans.

Sunday morning at 8am all volunteers will meet at Sour's Marina, where a detailed on site briefing will be done and we will assign a clean-up location for each group. Teams will be formed to pick up litter in target areas. The goal is to have a large number of people participate in order to maximize the area that can be cleared free of litter.
