Agriculture Minister warns Lebanese farm owners of a birdflu outbreak in Palestine

BEIRUT - The agriculture minister Hussein Hajj Hassan urged poultry owners to keep the birds indoors after a highly contagious type of bird flu was discovered in the Palestinian territories on May 6.
In a statement issued on Friday, the minister called on all farm owners and people who are in regular contact with birds to be cautious, and follow the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).
