الأرز الرمز، ينمو ويكبر وتزداد مساحته المزروعة يوماً بعد يوم وعاماً تلو آخر لتعود السفوح الشرقية في المكمل خضراء وارفة الظلال والمنطقة اسماً على مسمى، بعدما جار الدهر على اشجارها المعمّرة وامعن الغزاة فيها تشويهاً سعياً وراء الخشب لبناء السفن والهياكل وتحضير اثاث البيوت.

يحتل الهدهد مكانة مرموقة في مملكة الطيور الجميلة. فالطائر المهاجر يبني أعشاشه في جحور الأشجار أو في
الفتحات الصخرية الضيقة، فيما يقتصر دور الأنثى على احتضان البيض. وتمتد فترة الحضانة بين 12 و15 يوماً، فيما يقوم الذكر بعد مرحلة التفقيس باطعام الصغار التي تغادر عشها بعد 30 يوماً، علماً أن معدل الانجاب يكون بمعدل فرخين في السنة. ويقال إن للهدهد غريزة هي الاقوى بين الطيور وأدقها في تحديد المياه في جوف الارض.
